R/T Build Dates?

Does anyone know where we can go to get the status on build dates for 4x4Nitro R/T's? All the dealer is saying is that he doesn't have a build date yet and that they are pushing the regional mgrs to get these units done. There has to be some web site we can go to to see the backlog or where we are in the lineup. I've got an ending lease and still waiting since the beginning of December for the build date on the car. This is getting old fast.

There is no website, only through the dealer or if you know someone that works at DCX that can get inside info.

If you just ordered it, it will take about week or so to get the ball rolling..
I just bought a Inferno Red 4x4 R/T. It is being delivered tomorrow. You can search for vehicles on the Dodge site. I used the advanced search mode and then just spent some time looking at all the dealer inventories until I found what I wanted. I found at least 20 4x4 R/T's at various dealers - the 4x4's all appear to being going up North.
I ordered my Inferno R/T in Mid December and it will still take approx. 4-5 weeks when I checked with my dealer a day ago. The only way I was able to find out was emailing him. I guess this is what happens when you order almost everything that comes with it!
I am driving my Sunburst Orange R/T right now.
Finally - I got a build date of February 23rd on my spec'd order R/T with probable delivery first week of March. VIN has been assigned. Unknown still whether it will have full-time AWD (what I spec'd) or more likely the part-time AWD - who cares as long as it comes now.:)
You are right it will be part time 4wd, but no big thing you will have a great ride.:D
i ordered mine 1-08-2007

hey guys just found this out today:

The RER radio hasn't been released yet, but they are running PERS (pilots).. They had two pers to run, my car is the second one :D . my R/T with MyGiG will be built today

looks like they are really close to releasing it
I just hope we don't have all the problems the early versions of the SXT and SLt have. Maybe they have it all debugged by now. I know the 4-speed auto is working better with a speciall fluid additive. Has anyone got any word of 4.0 5-speed auto problems?

Across two forums all that I have read in form of complaint about R/T powertrains are 1) one case where owner thinks engine was making too much noise, and 2) transmission was shifting too hard. My personal view on this, 1) the 4.0L is a high performance 6 cyl. pushed to the limits. High compression may make it sound a little like a diesel. 2) Dodge has historically had tranny's with strong shifts, plus this is an Nitro R/T after all, not a Chrysler 300!
I got my R/T last Monday. I got a good deal on it with a cash buy, so I purchased $0 deductable 5yr/60K extended warranty just to be safe on first year of a new style. It came with Part Time 4WD even though I originally ordered it with full time. As luck would have it today we had an ice storm. I just clicked it over to 4WD and went wherever I wanted. The only tricky part is sharp turning like in parking - you have to watch the throttle because she'll jump and pull quick. Everything seems to be working fine so far. It is actually the wife's ride and she loves it. I just made sure it was the R/T and had the tow package. Good luck everyone on getting yours.:)

my 4.0 is alittle noisy but no biggie, i agree its a performance engine and they are somewhat noisy

and the trans shifting, it says right in the owners manual on page 250 under 5 speed trans "the transmission electronics are self calibrating, therefore the first few shifts may be somewhat abrupt, this is normal and precision shifts will develop withtin a few hundred miles....................its all in the manual
