The winter I got tired of my front wheel drive car being stuck in my own driveway, I bought an SUV. This is my third. I traded in my beloved Honda Passport for it. Feeling patriotic, I wanted an American made vehicle that looked like an SUV rather than a "wagon." My 2007 Nitro Cruizer fills the bill. I just hope it was a wise decision because I plan to have this one as long as I live in Alaska.

Welcome and enjoy your new ride! Do you have a Dodge Dealer close by for service? I posted a reply about your loose outside door molding that may help. Does it really get cold where you are and do or will you have to use a plug-in engine heater? Sounds like heater seats would be a requirement in Alaska! Ha Ha

Engine heaters are a MUST where I live.

The local Chrysler dealership was closed for a long time, but re-opened last winter. I'll check with them before zipping up to Anchorage (3 hour drive). I bought my Nitro in the late spring last year. I didn't worry about the cold until the fall. I saw a mechanic about installing an engine heater. He fished around under the hood and came up with a cord and plug. Yippee! It was there all the time. Normally, we get temperatures below zero...may even dip to minus 20, but this last winter was unusual. We had minus thirty (Fahrenheit) temperatures for more than two weeks and below zero after that. (Where is global warming when you really need it?) I didn't have them, but heated seats sounded pretty nice.
Thanks for your help.
