Okay people here's one for you I have a 2007 Dodge Nitro SXT without audio controls on the steering wheel. Well I have to have my audio control buttons so I got a steering wheel from a Dodge Nitro RT the same year 2007 the clock spring and the wiring and I've installed them now once they're installed the traction control light is on and the bas light is on now I don't think my 2007 SXT even has traction control or the Bas and now the horn doesn't work either can anybody tell me what's going on or has anybody ever heard of this?

The Dodge Nitro R/T uses a different Dash than other Dodge Nitro models like the Nitro SXT.

Ok then that must be why air bag light, traction control light, SAS/ESP light is on. And I think my SXT has a 5 pin plug not the 6 pin. So should I try the rt-cluster too maybe that'll help

I have the same truck, no steering wheel controls...be interested to see if you can get it sorted...Good luck..

The RT has EVIC system. Which uses the 5 pin connector. So you need to obtain the R/T cluster as well, because everything on the wheel controls run through the EVIC which uses 5 pin. So some rewiring needs to be done on the plug. Then you have to turn on the EVIC in the ECM. Or you can just forget all that an just use the audio control wires an buy the interface adapter from metra if all you want is the audio control options. An the buttons on the front of the wheel do nothing. Which is what I did at first until I located an RT instrument cluster and then I switched over so I have full function with all the buttons
