Talk about a tough week...

Ok, I got my nitro Tuesday the 17th of April. I got my drivers liscense that friday (4-20). That same night, I went with a friend to a Culvers to eat. While inside, some punk kids thought it would be funny to throw a bunch of fish all over my car. This caused about a half hour of smelly frustration while I cleaned fish guts off my car. Then a few days later, I accidentaly left my battery on so that ran out. Had to jump start it. Then just this past saturday, I had a VERY scary incident. I was driving on a village street going about 25 mph. Then out of nowhere a Boxer dog ran right in front of my car. I had no time to stop, let alone swerve so I hit him head on. He seemed ok, with most likely a major headache, however he left a pretty good amount of damage on my new Nitro. He cracked the airdam on the drivers side near the bottom, but that is not all. At first glance it doesnt seem bad, but if you go up underneath, you will see that all the brackets holding the bumper on are broken as well. Now I will have to get a new bumper for my poor nitro which is only a few weeks old. Hopefully that was the last of my adventures.

Oh man, what a rough start! But I think the worst is over because everyone says these things happen in 3's... you already had your 3 so there must be nothin' but good in the future with your Nitro.

Congrats on your new car and your new license. What a lucky "kid" to have a brand new Nitro fot your 1st vehicle!
Stay safe and keep the shiny side up :)

Thanks man! Yea it is a lot of fun to be able to have the freedom that driving offers. Off the top of your head, do you have any idea how much a new bumper would cost? I would guess right around 1k of more?
No idea based in fact, but if I had to guess, I'd say maybe somewhere in the $6-800. range.

Wow ok. Im glad that the dog owners are responsible for damage. There was a lease law in the town I was in. Also, the funniest thing that I just remembered was that the dog owner had a beer in his hand during the whole thing. He never even set it down while his dog was in serious condition. Go figure.
Some people shouldn't own animals... or drink!
Good luck with the repair and be sure to post back the cost of the part when you find out.
