The 2008 Caliber SRT4 is a four door compact sport sedan. The wide stance and heavy feel to the vehicle give the driver a great sense of security.
A turbocharged 2.4-liter I-4 engine is at the heart of this fast sedan. It reaches 285 horsepower and 265 lb. ft. of torque. The Getrag DMT6 six-speed manual transmission put the power where it was needed. The six gears were quite a challenge for me to shift but I'm sure the guys love it.
The engine is capable of 0-60 in the low 6-second range. The Caliber SRT-4 gets excellent fuel economy with an EPA fuel estimate of 19 MPG city and 27 MPG highway. What a sporty way to commute to either Baton Rouge or New Orleans.
