The Dodge Challenger Demon is Officially Out of Production
May 31, 2018
The FCA U.S. Brampton Assembly Plant has put together the last 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
Production of the 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has officially ended, with the sports car limited to one model year and 3,300 units. But what you see in the photos isn’t the finished product, as the Demon will now be heading to an upfit center for its final stages of assembly. The American automaker will give it a hand-painted, exclusive Viper Red exterior color, 18-inch aluminum wheels, 18-inch Demon drag radial tires, Demon vehicle badging, and a one-of-a-kind VIN instrument panel badging.
From there, the special vehicle will head to the Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction that takes place June 20 to June 23. The Demon will cross the auction block alongside the final 2017 Dodge Viper, with both cars offered as a pair in “The Ultimate Last Chance.” All proceeds from the auction will benefit the United Way.
Both vehicles could set an auction record. In 2014, a one-of-a-kind 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat raised $1.65 million for charity and at the time, it was more than any other car in Barrett-Jackson history.
