What happend to the 7/70 warranty?

Does anyone know if DCX has any plans on reinstating a long term powertrain warranty on any of their products? I'm leaning towards purchasing my third new Chrysler product, but I'm extremely hesitant about the 3 year warranty that they offering currently, especially since the Nitro R/T is a new development.

I spoke with a dealer at a local Auto Expo about the warranty, and he mentioned that a lot of people were inquiring about the long term powertrain warranty. He said the only option right now is to purchase an extra powertrain warranty for about $1200, which has a $100 deductible. He also mentioned that DCX will most likely offer a longer warranty within the next year or so.

Anybody else get similar feedback?
