You Can Now Get Stripes and Carbon Fiber for Your Dodge Durango
Feb 07, 2018
Dodge is showing off all new accessories and parts for the 2018 Durango at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show.
New for 2018, the Dodge Durango R/T and SRT models will feature factory-custom stripes and available performance exhaust systems, while the Durango SRT adds an available carbon fiber interior and performance lowering spring kit.
Priced at $1,195, the dual-center exterior stripe design covers the front and rear bumpers, hood, sections of the roof, and the tailgate. It will be offered in five colors: Bright Blue, Flame Red, Gunmetal Low Gloss (metallic finish), Low Gloss Black, and Sterling Silver (metallic finish). The American automaker said dealer orders for the new stripe package will start in March.
Those looking for more performance and a throatier exhaust note can grab Mopar’s new system, which is a bolt-on, high-performance unit that has been factory-tuned for improved flow, sound, and overall performance. Constructed from 304 stainless steel, the Mopar exhaust system for the 2018 Dodge Durango R/T will cost $1,595 and is available now. Durango SRT owners will have to wait until the second quarter of 2018 and it will cost $1,850.
For a more aggressive stance, the Mopar performance lowering springs offers a 0.6-inch drop, helping also enhance high-speed cornering stability and consistency. Mopar worked closely with Dodge//SRT engineers and used proprietary data to develop the springs, just like it did for the exhaust system. The spring kit will be available starting March priced at $325.
Lastly, Dodge has updated the SRT Interior Appearance Group package by adding an authentic carbon fiber instrument panel and door bezels. The package also includes a premium-wrapped instrument panel, Dinamica soft-touch headliner, and accent paint on speaker trim rings. Look for it starting February for $2,495.
“Our Dodge//SRT performance enthusiasts are always looking for ways to make their vehicle their own,” said Steve Beahm, head of Passenger Cars, Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “The available stripes and carbon fiber throughout the interior really give Durango a custom look from the factory, and they are perfectly complemented by Mopar’s available exhaust systems and performance springs, which make Durango even more fun to drive.”
