I suggest you purchase an inexpensive OBD Compact Reader Scan Tool and check yourself to see what your error codes are.
Without viewing these codes you or anyone else would not know what is the problem.
Dodge Nitro OBD2 Codes (2007-08)
I would think the code(s) might show an issue with rear ABS speed sensor (code will show which one) where a sensor has been damaged and needs to be replaced or just a loose wiring harness connection or broken wire. Let us know here what you found and Good Luck!
